Yes, this is a nice illustration. I'd love to have a look of the code; is it possible for you to mail it to me? — Sverdrup 21:05, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Oh, I see. I understand completely. I will be interested in May again, though. :-) — Sverdrup 11:41, 26 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I'm interested in the C program too! Do you now know wether you can disclose the code?

Also, would it be possible to remove the condition from the image page, and instead make it GFDL? The GFDL does not disallow use as homework, but it requires attribution and reproduction of the license, so I don't think it could be used to cheat with. ;-) -- David Remahl 01:06, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Seconded. As you've made the image yourself, I think putting conditions on its use may disallow its uploading to Wikipedia. I know that we all license our text contributions the same way as a condition of submitting them to the project; the only reason there's such a hubbub with graphics is because it's harder to attribute them. It's a really nice diagram; I'd like to see it GFDL'd. (And, as the comment above mine states, it's still against the GFDL to use it unattributed in coursework or homework.) grendel|khan 18:51, 2004 Dec 21 (UTC)

Split

I wasn't sure whether to split Stockport. (unlike say, Wigan, where the case is quite clear that it should be split). Generally I have been splitting articles about districts and towns, unless the district is only slightly larger than the town. I have also been taking into account local identity (as gleaned from webpages), and the way the urban area looks on a map.

If someone who lived in Bramhall was going shopping in Stockport town centre, would they say "I'm going to Stockport?" Would they consider themselves as living in Stockport (as opposed to the borough of Stockport)? If places like Cheadle and Bramhall have no separate identity other than as areas of Stockport, then that's fine, we can keep the article merged. Morwen 11:41, May 6, 2004 (UTC)

Rude

In reply to your message, yes, I considered you to be exceptionally rude in removing the sections about my work, especially those pieces added by my colleagues from around the world. I can only presume that you failed to read the "Discussion" section, where I explained the situation. I have now had to explain to a number of humiliated people that the removal of their considered contributions was not due to any inadequacy on their part but solely to your presumptive and astonishingly arrogant decision unilaterally to withdraw their work. In future please have the good grace to check your facts and investigate the situation with a little more thoroughness and a lot more humility.

White Line death

Hi Dmn,

I see you don't like White Lines at the top of articles — which is fine with me (not that they bother me much either, the seem like pretty harmless creatures). I just thought to suggest moving [:category] tags from the top to the bottom whilst you were at it — if you felt so inclined. In the first few days of categories, it was recommended to put the tags at the top, but it is no longer necessary and they are better off at the bottom. -- Solipsist 18:52, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Hey, I just got an edit conflict while writing the Khor Virap article, and I noticed you uploaded a picture of Yerevan while looking through your pages. I was wondering if you have any more photos of locations in Armenia, as I'm slowly adding articles on varios places there (I recently wrote Haghpat and Sanahin for example), and was hoping to find a good source for photos. --Aramgutang 14:36, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

VampWillow

Hi thanks for your message. If you feel that the above sysop's deletion of Empire of Atlantium is a serious matter, then I am happy to support any action you take to draw it to attention. I am not too familiar with such processes, and I am not otherwise familiar with this sysop, so I don't know if she has a history of non-consensus deletions of this nature. I note that the most virulent of those who voted against the article on VfD are all voting to keep it deleted, without addressing the non-consesus nature of the deletion itself, so perhaps if you are aware of others who might be concerned by the matter you could bring it to their attention and encourage them to vote to undelete.--Gene_poole 23:07, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Sockpuppet vandalism

Hi again. I've just noticed that someone has created a sockpuppet Natryn to vandalise the Empire of Atlantium article, which has now been forwarded to my user page and nominated for speedy deletion. Do you know how to reverse this? You can see the edit history of the sockpuppet here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Special:Contributions&target=Natryn --Gene_poole 23:57, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Yes I know you're not a sysop - I just thought you might have a better idea than me how to reverse sophisticated vandalism of this nature :-) I agree the article is better placed under Atlantium - I think that's actually how it was originally. Obviously there are a few people out there who really seem to be on some sort of personal crusade against this article for some reason, so if you can help me keep an eye on things it would be appreciated. --Gene_poole 00:14, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the vandalism listing, and for taking an informed and responsible approach to a "controversial" subject. If people spent half as much time writing real articles as they do getting worked up trying to expunge facts they disagree with Wikipedia would be heaven!

Deletionist campaign

Hi there. As someone who has displayed a fairly rational and objective attitude towards micronation articles in the past I thought you might be interested to note that the rabid deletionist lobby is on the march against them again.

The latest target is New Utopia, which although a poorly written article in its current form concerns a subject that is eminently encyclopaedic, being the latest in a long line of libertarian "new country projects" (and therefore representative of a notable social/historic phenomenon), being the subject of dozens of international press and TV stories, as well as the subject of a widely-known US Securities & Investment Commission investigation for fraud.

You might want to take a look at the VfD and respond accordingly.

For future reference you might also want to note the articles in the Micronations Category, in order to keep an eye on its contents; I’ve been adding a number of well-researched, illustrated, fully referenced articles to this category in recent months, but there are moves afoot thanks to a highly suspect ongoing arbitration of process to have me banned completely from writing anything at all about micronations on the basis that as the founder of one, anything I write is somehow self-promotional and/or controversial. --Gene_poole 22:16, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Mao

Please justify "more standard" introduction. I assert that the text you removed is the standard introduction to the game. New players should not even be informed that they will not be told the rules; the first penalty many players get is for asking about the rules.

The complete, correct, spoken introduction given to a new player consists of the words: "The only rule I can tell you is this one." All other information comes by way of example and experience.

Now, my bias is against such cruel games, and I am only too willing to have an article on Mao that discloses all the little nasty tricks played on victims. However, NPOV requires some even-handedness, and I see on the Talk page that some feel no explanation is appropriate. It seems clear to me that the correct WP introduction is therefore the correct spoken introduction. I considered moving the spoiler template to the very top of the page, but even the presence of the spoiler template gives away an important clue, since new players do not even realize they are being taken for a ride, or that any information is secret. The cryptic statement sets the tone for an entire game of paranoid intrigue (indeed, very like life under Communism during times of political campaign).

Is something gained by sanding this down to some universal blandness?

I like to reach concensus with editors of other opinions, so I ask you to support your version. Otherwise, kindly revert the edit, and take a penalty card. :) — Xiong (talk) 02:00, 2005 Mar 25 (UTC)

Looking through the history, you appear to the be source of the statement that Mao was popular in Cambridge in 1975. Do you have any evidence for this? As far as I am aware, Mao was unknown in Cambridge immediately prior to the 1992-1993 academic year. Bluap 16:08, 18 May 2005 (UTC)

Eurovision 2005

Hi, I just reverted your change. The significance of the 'Big 4'; UK, Spain, France and Germany being on the bottom of the table is as they automaticaly qualify for the contest, and contribute most of the budget of the EBU, therefore adding another other countries who didn't do well to the list is inappropriate. --Neo 12:19, May 28, 2005 (UTC)

The Message

I didn't send it, and I still stand by that statement. Neutral administrators are investigating (ie, not you, your bias for your friend is understandable and obvious). I'm as confused as you are about all of this, simply because I didn't send it, by the way David is putting it across suggests he genuinely feels he received it from my account. A number of 'theories' have been suggested by others, including the possibility of forging the message, and somebody else sending it other than me. And, I will be up for RfA again, and I trust you won't troll me about something I didn't write again - RfA isn't about personal grudges, its about ability as an administrator. Its clear that your biased. Hedley 14:19, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I know you mean well, but would it be too much to ask you to change slightly your comment attrib for disambiguation? Using a bodily reference like that just isn't appropriate for the subject matter of all the articles you are editing, for example, Biblical subjects; in other words I'd just as soon not see it; and hopefully you are not trying deliberately to be offensive. Thanks, Codex Sinaiticus 01:21, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Lada Keyring1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lada Keyring1.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use gfdl to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use fairuse.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Image copyright problem RE: Image:Smiling-child.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Smiling-child.jpg. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law. We need you to specify two things on the image description page:

 • The copyright holder, and
 • The copyright status

The copyright holder is usually the creator. If the creator was paid to make this image, then their employer may be the copyright holder. If several people collaborated, then there may be more than one copyright holder. If you created this image, then you are the copyright holder.

Because of the large number of images on Wikipedia, we've sorted them using image copyright tags. Just find the right tag corresponding to the copyright status of this image, and paste it onto the image description page like this: TAGHERE.

There are 3 basic ways to licence an image on Wikipedia:

 • The copyright holder can also release their work into the public domain. See here for examples.
 • Images from certain sources are automatically released into the public domain. This is true for the United States, where the Wikimedia servers are located. (See here for images from the government of the USA and here for other governments.) However, not all governments release their work into the public domain. One exception is the UK (see here for images from the UK government). Non-free licence governments are listed here.
 • Also, in some cases, an image is copyrighted but allowed on Wikipedia because of fair use. To see a) if this image qualifies, and b) if so, how to tag it, see Wikipedia:Fair use.

For more information, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Please remember that untagged images are likely to be deleted.

If you have uploaded other images without including copyright tags, please go back and tag them. Also, please tag all images that you upload in the future.

If you have any questions, just leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again. --SCEhardT 05:44, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

RE:

Hey cool. You're so cool Dmn. Well done.

Your vote on the RFR poll

Hi, Dmn, you voted oppose on the requests for rollback privileges consensus poll, suggesting that people who would like rollback should just become admins instead - that being an admin is "no big deal". While I think that in an "ideal" Wikipedia, this would indeed be the case, I believe that over time standards for becoming an administrator have clearly risen. This is apparent by looking at the RFA system throughout Wikipedia's existence - intially, all one had to do to become an admin was just ask nicely, now we have a complicated procedure. A recent proposal on the RFA talk page for requiring at least 30 minimum support votes and a significant number of existing contributions was given some serious consideration. There is frequent talk of "bad admins slipping through the RFA net", and while you may not agree with that philosophy of adminship it is undeniable that the standards have risen.

Because of this, candidates who pass are already very experienced with Wikipedia. While this in itself is no bad thing, it means that for the month or so before they become admins they are not being given the tools an admin has which would help them to improve Wikipedia, by removing vandalism and performing administrative tasks such as moving pages. The qualities which make a good administrator are not determined by length of stay on Wikipedia or number of friends you have, but by personality and character. Time at Wikipedia only gives familiarity with the way things are done here. However, being at Wikipedia for an extra month doesn't grant any special insight into the ability to determine which edits are vandalism and which are not. This is why I believe that we should hand out rollback to contributors who are clearly here to improve Wikipedia but won't pass the RFA procedure because of their percieved lack of familiarity with policy by some Wikipedians. I think that adminship should be no big deal, like you, however I see just two ways to make sure Wikipedians can quickly and efficiently remove vandalism - either by all those who believe adminship should be no big deal involving themselves much more in RFA, or by supporting this proposal and giving out rollback to good contributors who have not yet been here long enough to become admins. We have to remember that our ultimate aim here is to produce an encyclopedia, and we should balance the idealism of "adminship should be no big deal" with the pragmatism of granting rollback to our best non-admin contributors. I would be very grateful if you would reconsider your viewpoint on this issue. Thanks, Talrias (t | e | c) 13:55, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Image:CheadleGraph3.png

I see you've added this graph to the Cheadle election page. It seems to me that it's somewhat misleading in that it compares the vote in "whichever constituency happens to be named Cheadle", but draws a continuous line where the boundaries have changed. Thus the Liberal vote in February 1974 appears to drop, when in fact it rose because the strongly Liberal voting areas had all been removed to Hazel Grove. Would it not be better to break the lines at the point where the boundaries changed, and possibly include them in shadow or greyed where (as in 1979) we have the notional figures on the new boundaries? Fair use rationale for Image:GordonRamsay.jpg

Nuvola apps important.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GordonRamsay.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 01:24, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:UniChallenge.jpg)

Nuvola apps important blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:UniChallenge.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:59, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Jumper sweater

Hi

Three years ago I uploaded the picture of jumper sweater - probably it was your work - from en wiki to Commons. It was originally marked as {PD}, later changed in Commons to {PD-ineligible}.

Now some people from Commons claim this picture is copyrighted and they want to delete it. Look here and tell them some words (especially what was your original mind regarding copyright there), please.

Wiktionary logo font(s)?

Hello there. I saw from commons:Image talk:Wiktionary-logo-en.png that you were the person who originally created the image. Could you please tell us which font(s) you used in the image and where, and which font sizes you used, so that we can make an accurate SVG version? Thanks! You're mistaken. I had no role in the design of that image. Dmn Դմն 14:17, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
How strange - you're apparently credited with its creation at commons:Image talk:Wiktionary-logo-en.png. Do you know who did create the image, by any chance? It Is Me Here (talk) 13:18, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Image licensing

Hey there...

I am going through a number of images that have some minor licensing issues. I came across Image:StaffordshireSouthGraph.png which you uploaded. The licensing on this image is not complete as it was uploaded many years ago. I wonder if you could follow the link to the image page and correct the licensing with a GFDL license (or other free license). If you have any questions or issues, please drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 14:10, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Typo redirect Homer Zuckerman

Information icon.svg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Homer Zuckerman, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Homer Zuckerman is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Homer Zuckerman, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Image source problem with Image:ParisMetro.Lamarck.Caulaincourt.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:ParisMetro.Lamarck.Caulaincourt.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:31, 30 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 11:31, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Chufront.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Chufront.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 17:50, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:ParisMetro.Lamarck.Caulaincourt.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:ParisMetro.Lamarck.Caulaincourt.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image permission problem with Image:Cambridge Emmanuel.JPG

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Cambridge Emmanuel.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jappalang (talk) 00:29, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Melodifestivalen

Hi. Please move Melodifestivalen 2011 back into the Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 as this has been the long standing practice over the past few years and is what consensus among editors supports. Once the contest is over, the pages will be split, but during the period where both are ongoing, it was decided that in order to avoid duplication of efforts (people having to update both pages) one will be used until after the contest. The Sweden page was chosen as the base as its coverage is much broader than the Melodifestivalen page which in terms of the Contest, is only for the song selection. Also, in the future, please do not move pages like that without a discussion first. Thanks. Grk1011 (talk) 15:45, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:04, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

MSU Interview

Dear Dmn,

My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the communityHERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.

So a few things about the interviews:

 • Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
 • Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
 • All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
 • All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
 • The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.

Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your nameHERE instead.

If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.

Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chlopeck (talkcontribs) 23:12, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Exclaim personal attack.png

A tag has been placed on File:Exclaim personal attack.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
