Ive done some tests within the last few months about expiring domains with PR to see if it is worth your while to get these expired and wiped domains.

My idea why I would like to use expired domains is the thought that old domains are popular than new domains, and to get instant PR.

So I set out to find deleted domains with PR that I could register. One feature of areas I was trying to find was that the domain still had a, and it was still shown in google.

I wont be mentioning the actual domains here as I want to handle the outcome and prevent people from making backlinks to these domains.

I listed about 4 domains, some have PR2 and PR3. Some have a few pages indexed, some have a few thousand. I also bought a few new areas for my new tasks.

I found out that google seldom visits these domains so I need to perfect it but with some fresh backlinks. After making some backlinks to these domains, two domains sooner or later lost their PR. Those two domains have only some pages found in google. In one single domain, I did a 301 permanent direct to the brand new index page. This site kept its PR. One important difference this domain has compared to the other two is that this domain has 1000s of pages indexed in google. Http://Linklicious.Me/ includes more about the meaning behind it. Indexification is a splendid online library for more about when to mull over it.

In still another domain, I did so a 301 and direct it to a brand new domain. The result is that the new domain got indexed faster and more pages were indexed compared to another new domain I listed at the same time. Visiting sick submitter linklicious certainly provides warnings you can use with your father. Nevertheless, PR was right down to 0.

There is also an incident where I did a 301 redirect from a vintage deleted site with PR and never got any benefit from it.

In conclusion, there is still inconsistent results on whether buying deleted/expired domains. Some works, some dont. However, what appear to work is that

a. Old remove areas does include traffic from existing backlinks. If the old site has a great deal of backlinks, some traffic does be still generated by it.

W. Other se"s such as yahoo and bing don"t seem to have an biases against expired/deleted domains..
