This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Logistic map scatterplots large.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

This diagram was created with MATLAB.

Two- and three-dimensional phase diagrams show some of the structure of the map.

This image shows scatterplots (in this case, phase diagrams) for the chaotic logistic map with parameter r = 4. This is the large version; there is also a small version for including on pages.

This image was originally created by me (Ben Cairns) on 20 June, 2002, in encapsulated postscript (color level 2) from a MATLAB figure source, constructed using code that I wrote for an honours subject on chaos and time series. I am in the process of porting the code to construct this figure to GNU Octave, and will post it here when it is done.
