Summary

Description
English: Daily time dilation in microseconds as a function of orbit (assumed circular) radius r = rs/re where rs is satellite orbit radius and re is Earth radius. At r = 1.497 there is no time dilation, i.o.w. the gravitational and velocity approximations cancel. ISS astronauts fly below, whereas GPS and geostationary satellites fly above.

This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Daily satellite time dilation.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
