'''Papyrus 30''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), designated by '''<math>\mathfrak{P}</math><sup>30</sup>''', is an early copy of the [[New Testament]] in [[Greek language|Greek]]. It is a [[papyrus]] [[Biblical manuscript|manuscript]] of the [[Pauline epistles]], it contains only [[First Epistle to the Thessalonians|1 Thess]] 4:12-5:18. 25-28; [[Second Epistle to the Thessalonians|2 Thess]] 1:1-2; 2:1.9-11. The manuscript [[Paleography|paleographically]] has been assigned to the 3rd century.<ref name = Aland/>

== Description ==

The manuscript is written in large uncial letters. The [[nomina sacra]] are abbreviated. The number of the pages suggest that the manuscript was a collection of the Pauline epistles.<ref name = Grenfell>B. P. Grenfell & A. S. Hunt, ''Oxyrynchus Papyri'' XIII, (London 1919), p. 12. </ref> It is a carefully executed manuscript.<ref name = Comfort/>

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the [[Alexandrian text-type]] (rather proto-Alexandrian). [[Kurt Aland|Aland]] placed it in [[Categories of New Testament manuscripts#Category I|Category I]].<ref name = Aland>{{Cite book

According to Grenfell it agrees four times with [[Codex Vaticanus|B]] against [[Codex Sinaiticus|א]] [[Codex Alexandrinus|A]], once with BA against א, twice with א A against B, once with א against B A.<ref name = Grenfell/>
